As a youth I wanted to be a writer, especially a comedy writer. Out of college, I actually tried it. I wasn't very good at writing fiction. I finally got my chance to write humorously when I was asked to create a book about a computer language.
Over the years I've dabbled in skit comedy, improvisational comedy, writing and performing comedy songs. I loved working with John Clancy in our performances as the Brancy Brothers. Here's one of our skits on YouTube.
In the realm of comedy writing, the work I'm most proud of is Punchy Advice, an Internet advice column I wrote daily in 1995-1996.
