As a youth I wanted to be a writer, especially a comedy writer. Out of college, I actually tried it. I wasn't very good at writing fiction. I finally got my chance to write humorously when I was asked to create a book about a computer language.

Over the years I've dabbled in skit comedy, improvisational comedy, writing and performing comedy songs. The work I'm most proud of is Punchy Advice, an Internet advice column I wrote daily in 1995-1996.
